You have reached the website of Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organization of Mid-Atlantic Region in Zone 1 (USA), Region 2. The MidAtlantic Region of the U.S. Sai Organization consists of the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia. In New York, our Region covers the 5 Boroughs of NYC and Long Island. To learn about the International Sai Organization, please click here.
The Sri Sathya Sai Baba Organization provides many activities for participants to enable them to achieve the goal of life. Common to all activities, (service, devotion and education in human values) is the cultivation of the understanding of our own nature, and of our goal in life. Both these aims are achieved in the Sai Organization by strengthening our capacity to love all people in every different station in life, and to love people of different races, castes, creeds and religions.
Sri Sathya Sai Baba emphasizes that Education should be for life, not just for a living. He says that, "Education should serve not only to develop one's intelligence and skills, but also help broaden one's outlook and make a person useful to society and the world at large. This is possible only when cultivation of the spirit is promoted along with education in the physical sciences. Moral and spiritual education will train a person to lead a disciplined life.
In Sai Centers, selfless service is just as important a spiritual activity as devotional singing. The members of this organization are always ready and eager to help the needy, the sick and the poor. Baba makes it clear that the service we do is for our own sake. Naturally, we want to help others, but the real value of the service lies in what it does for us - provided we do it with the right attitude: as a spiritual discipline.
Sathya Sai devotees all over the world observe 24th April as the day our loving Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, left His physical form and continues to shower His love as our eternal companion.
