SRI SATHYA SAI ARADHANA DAY
APRIL 24, 2016

A SERVICE TRIBUTE TO SRI SATHYA SAI BABA
90th

"Engage yourselves in service activity. Consider social service as service to God. This is the best way to earn God's Love. Love all and serve all. Your entire life will be sanctified thereby." - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Every year we observe 24th April as the Sri Sathya Sai Aradhana day. By the Divine Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, devotees in our region will commemorate this sacred occasion by offering various Service Activities at His Divine Lotus Feet. The below flyer has the list of the special service activities planned for this commemoration, across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Activities include: conducting health camps, cooking and serving food at Shelters, food drives, sharing hygiene kits and supplies with members of the community, visiting children centers/senior centers/hospitals, making baby blankets/hats for hospitals, Environmental Seva etc.

Let us pay homage and express our heartfelt gratitude to Bhagawan by dedicating these special Service activities at His Divine Lotus Feet.

Sai Go-Green Week (April 18-24)

With Swami's Grace, for the past four years, Sai centers, groups and individuals across our Region have been embracing the auspicious week of Sai Aradhana Day as Sai Go-Green Week, as, every year the Earth Day (April 22) falls in the proximity of Sai Aradhana Day (April 24). Some of the EnviroCare Sadhanas (spiritual discipline program) our region has been undertaking includes but not limited to tree planting, stream / marsh / neighborhood / beach cleanups, gleaning, use of biodegradable and compostable disposables at or carrying Sai Green Kit to Sai event, E-waste collection drive, and increasing awareness such as, making presentations at the centers, conducting study circle and SSE class on Swami Teachings on Mother Nature and Celling on Desires Program.  Let us give continuity to this noble cause by observing the Sai Go-Green Week (this year April 18-24) and weeks and years ahead with an awareness of connecting with Mother Nature and making righteous choice when making any purchase or performing any actions.

Let us pledge to avoid use of plastic and Styrofoam disposables, making this as a collective offering to our Beloved Bhagawan, starting from this year Sai Go-Green Week/Sai Aradhana Day, and extending it to the years ahead!

We encourage all Sai Centers and Study Groups to observe Sai Aradhana Day with increased awareness on Going-Green.
